The Twins have created their own base in the Vertazian equivalent of the Kalahari,  which they’ve named Kalahari because of Tullia’s time on Earth living with the Meera tribe.

That base is becoming Home to many youngfolk disenchanted with their government and demanding  discussions about changes.

Large parts of that area were cultivated until many centuries ago. The automatic systems have continued to keep the land in good condition, and a small area is being reinvigorated.

With Tullia’s experience, the youngfolk are also using native plants for a variety f purposes. The wood is very hard so good for simple tools like digging sticks, items such as cups and other containers, and as natural medicines.  Parts of the tree prepared in different ways for toothache, headache, upset stomachs and ear infections.

I don’t imagine that the folk gathering to protest had expected to learn so much about how an offshoot of their ancestors lived 70,000 yeasrs ago, before the planet split into parallel worlds.
